Iran: Clinton's threat and a controversial photo

Several bloggers reacted to Senator Hillary Clinton's remarks ^[1] on Monday when Clinton said that she would be willing to use nuclear weapons against Iran if it were to launch a nuclear attack on Israel.

Writing in Farsi, Malkoot says ^[2]:

“Clinton should control her temper…Clinton did not think that her deterring threat did not help to solve problem but just makes things complicated. What a logic it is that Israel because it is our ally, then we have every right to obliterate any country that attacks it…. Clinton’s words mean that we have power to do this and it legitimates our action….if there were some Iranians to prefer you to Obama, now you have lost them all. What a logic it is, that they have a problem with the Iranian rulers and they say what they want…these words are so far removed from logic.”

Mehiran addss ^[3] [Fa]:

I want to ask Hillary Clinton this question was USA able to obliterate Afghanistan, Vietnam, Iraq …. And all these countries did not have half of Iran’s military power and its population.

Meanwhile, Anti Mullah has published ^[4] a photo featuring a Muslim woman standing outside a mosque in California, holding a banner with slogans in support of Obama. He says:

Note the “bilingual” aspect uses English lettering for Persian (not Arabic) words to reach a broader audience than writing it in Farsi (Persian) fonts.

The banner says: God is great. Obama is the leader.

Kamangir, however, thinks the photo is fake and shares ^[5] his ideas about it here:

“Let’s also accept that “[there are] rumors of the Islamic Republic of Iran also passing the word to their American agents and clerics to support Obama”. Let’s go further and accept too that this plan is actually materialized and that a Muslim is going to hold a banner in support of Obama and to encourage fellow Muslims to vote for him. In what language will he/she write on the banner, besides English? My guess would be Arabic. That’s why I doubt this
picture is, as Anti Mullah suggests, “definitive evidence” for the claims mentioned in the above. Why? Because the word “Rahbar” is Persian for “Leader”. Shouldn’t they have used an Arabic word, written with English letters of course, instead?”
